How to scrape a website to CSV or Excel
This guide walks through selecting fields, collecting data across pages, and exporting a spreadsheet with EzScrape. You don’t need to write code.
Start by installing EzScrape from the Chrome Web Store. Open the webpage containing the data you want, then open the extension.

1. Select the fields you need
Click Pick Field in EzScrape, then click a value on the page. For a product listing, start with a product name. Add another field for its price, and repeat for any other values you need.
Use descriptive field names, such as “Product” and “Price”, so the exported columns are easy to understand. Try collecting the current page first and check the preview before running a larger scrape.
For example, a page of product listings can become a table with one column for names and another for prices. The sample export on the homepage shows what a CSV table looks like.
2. Collect data from multiple pages
If the website splits its results across pages, click Pick Next and select its Next button. Set the maximum number of pages to collect, then choose Scrape All Pages.
Keep the initial run small so you can confirm the selected fields and pagination work as expected. A page that loads more results while you scroll may need those results loaded before scraping; it does not necessarily behave like a page with a Next button.
3. Check the results and export
Review the collected rows in the extension’s preview. Check that names and prices align, column names are clear, and the fields contain the values you expected. Then choose CSV or Excel.
CSV or Excel: which should I choose?
CSV is a plain-text table that many spreadsheet and data tools can import. Choose Excel when you want an .xlsx workbook. If a CSV opens with the wrong column separators, use your spreadsheet app’s import option and select a comma as the delimiter.
Keep an original copy of the export before sorting, removing rows, or changing values in your spreadsheet.
If data is missing or a field won’t select
- Reload the webpage and select the fields again.
- Scroll until the content you need is visible before collecting it.
- Check that EzScrape is enabled for that website in Chrome’s extension settings.
- Some content inside iframes or shadow DOM may not be selectable.

Where is the scraped data processed?
Scraping runs locally in your browser. EzScrape does not send your scraped data to our servers. Read the privacy policy for details.
